Instructions
- Prepare the IngredientsDice the green apple into small cubes. Finely chop the pickles and red onion. If you prefer a milder onion flavor, soak the chopped onion in cold water for about 10 minutes while preparing the remaining ingredients, then drain well.
- Make the DressingIn a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon of wasabi paste, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until the dressing is smooth and well blended.
- Mix the SaladAdd the drained tuna, chopped pickles, red onion, corn, thawed peas, and diced green apple to the bowl.Gently fold everything together until all of the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing. Taste the salad and, if you prefer a stronger wasabi flavor, mix in the remaining teaspoon.
- ChillCover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for about 10 minutes. Chilling allows the flavors to blend together and improves the overall taste.
- Add the CrunchJust before serving, crush the jalapeño potato chips into small pieces. Stir half of the crushed chips into the salad and sprinkle the remaining chips over the top for extra crunch
