These Air Fryer Chicken Wings are hands-down the crispiest, juiciest wings you’ll ever make at home — without a drop of frying oil! Ready in just 25 minutes and perfect for any sauce you love.

Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (NOT baking soda — secret to crispiness!)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, salt and pepper

Classic Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Frank’s RedHot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

Step 1: Dry the Wings

Pat every wing completely dry with paper towels. For extra crispy results, air-dry uncovered in the fridge for 1 hour before cooking.

Step 2: Season

Mix all dry seasonings including baking powder. Toss wings until evenly coated.

Step 3: Air Fry

Preheat air fryer to 380°F. Arrange wings in a single layer. Cook 12 minutes, flip, cook 12 more minutes. Increase to 400°F for a final 3-5 minutes for maximum crispiness.

Step 4: Sauce and Serve

Mix Buffalo sauce ingredients. Toss hot wings immediately in the sauce. Serve with ranch or blue cheese.

Flavor Variations

  • Honey Garlic: 3 tbsp honey, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 3 minced garlic cloves
  • Lemon Pepper: lemon zest, cracked pepper, melted butter
  • BBQ: favorite BBQ sauce, caramelized 2 minutes in air fryer
  • Garlic Parmesan: garlic butter and freshly grated Parmesan
