Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds approximately ⅛ inch thick.
- Place the banana slices into a mixing bowl and drizzle them with lemon juice. Gently toss until each slice is lightly coated.
- Drizzle the banana slices with oil and toss gently. For sweet banana chips, sprinkle with cinnamon and coconut sugar. For savory chips, simply season with a pinch of sea salt.
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the banana slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping, as proper airflow is essential for crisp chips. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 9–11 minutes. Carefully flip each banana slice. Continue cooking for another 9–11 minutes, checking every 2 minutes during the final stage to prevent burning.
- Transfer the banana chips to a wire cooling rack. Let them cool for about 10–15 minutes to crisp up.

Notes
Use firm bananas instead of ripe bananas for the crispiest results. Slice evenly for consistent cooking and avoid overcrowding the basket. Let chips cool completely before storing in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. If they soften, return to the air fryer for 2–3 minutes at 300°F (150°C). Avoid refrigerating as moisture can make the chips chewy. This recipe is naturally gluten-free and vegetarian.
