Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

  1. Wash the red potatoes thoroughly and cut them into even bite-sized cubes. Keeping them uniform ensures they cook evenly.
  2. Place the potatoes in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and rosemary.
  3. Let them sit for 10 minutes to absorb the seasoning.

Step 2: Pre-Cook the Potatoes

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F) .
  2. Place potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Cook at 190°C (375°F) for 15 minutes , shaking halfway through for even crisping.
  4. This gives them a head start since they take longer than steak.

Step 3: Prepare the Ribeye Steak

  1. Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. This helps create a better sear.
  2. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
  3. Let the steak rest for 15–20 minutes for better flavor absorption.

Step 4: Make Garlic Butter

  1. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Set aside for finishing the steak later.

Step 5: Cook the Ribeye Steak

  1. Once potatoes are halfway done, push them to one side or temporarily remove them.
  2. Place ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook at 200°C (400°F) for:
  4. Rare: 6–8 minutes total
  5. Medium-rare: 8–10 minutes
  6. Medium: 10–12 minutes
  7. Well-done: 12–14 minutes
  8. Flip steak halfway through cooking.

Step 6: Combine Potatoes and Steak

  1. After steak is cooked, remove it and let it rest.
  2. Return potatoes to the air fryer for an additional 5–10 minutes at 200°C (400°F) to make them extra crispy.

Step 7: Add Garlic Butter Finish

  1. Place rested steak on a plate and immediately brush or spoon garlic butter over the top.
  2. Let it melt into the hot steak for maximum flavor.

Step 8: Rest the Steak

  1. Allow steak to rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
  2. This helps retain juices and keeps the meat tender.
