Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Strawberry Cream Cheese Filling

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese , powdered sugar , and vanilla extract .
  2. Using a hand mixer or spoon, beat until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and completely free of lumps.
  3. Gently fold in the finely diced strawberries until evenly distributed. Set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Bread

  1. Place the bread slices on a clean cutting board. Trim off all four crusts using a sharp knife.
  2. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread as thin as possible. Rolling them flat ensures they roll up tightly without cracking during assembly.

Step 3: Assemble the Roll-Ups

  1. Spread about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of the strawberry cream cheese mixture evenly over the lower third of each flattened bread slice, leaving a small border at the edges.
  2. Tightly roll the bread up from the filled end to the top edge to form a snug log. Repeat for all 8 slices.

Step 4: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

  1. In a shallow bowl or dish, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon .
  2. Using a pastry brush, generously brush all sides of each roll-up with the melted butter .
  3. Immediately roll each buttered roll-up in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Step 5: Air Fry to Golden Perfection

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray or line with a sheet of perforated air fryer parchment paper.
  3. Place the roll-ups seam-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other. Work in batches if your basket is smaller.
  4. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6 to 8 minutes , flipping halfway through (around the 4-minute mark), until the exterior is golden brown and crisp.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Remove carefully from the air fryer using tongs—the filling will be very warm!
  2. Allow them to cool for 2 minutes before serving.
  3. Dust with additional powdered sugar or serve with warm maple syrup for dipping.
