Instructions
Step 1: Prep & Preheat
- Preheat your oven to $375^\circ\text{F}$ ( $190^\circ\text{C}$ ) . Ensure your oven rack is positioned in the center.
- Generously grease a 10-inch Bundt pan or tube pan with non-stick cooking spray or melted butter, paying special attention to the center tube to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Prepare the Biscuits & Filling
- Pop open the canned biscuit dough. Cut each individual biscuit into 4 equal quarter pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced ham, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and sliced green onions. Toss gently to distribute the ingredients evenly.
- Add the quartered biscuit pieces into the mixing bowl with the ham and cheese mixture. Gently toss everything together using your hands or a large spatula, ensuring the biscuit pieces are lightly coated with cheese and ham.
Step 3: Mix the Garlic Butter Glaze
- In a small microwave-safe bowl (or small saucepan over low heat), melt the $\frac{1}{2}$ cup of unsalted butter.
- Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and chopped fresh parsley.
- Drizzle half of this melted garlic butter mixture over the biscuit, ham, and cheese mixture in the bowl. Toss lightly to coat.
Step 4: Assemble the Ring
- Layer the buttered biscuit, ham, and cheese mixture into your prepared Bundt pan. Spread the pieces evenly, ensuring there are no large empty gaps.
- Sprinkle any remaining ham or cheese from the bottom of the mixing bowl directly over the top of the dough layer in the pan.
Step 5: Bake to Golden Perfection
- Place the Bundt pan on the center rack of your preheated oven.
- Bake at $375^\circ\text{F}$ ( $190^\circ\text{C}$ ) for 28 to 32 minutes. Note on Intensity: If the top starts to brown too quickly after around 20 minutes, loosely tent a sheet of aluminum foil over the top of the pan to allow the interior dough to cook fully without burning the top crust.
- The biscuit ring is done when the top is deep golden brown, the cheese is melted and bubbling at the edges, and a toothpick inserted into the thickest dough portion comes out clean (without raw dough).
Step 6: Glaze & Serve
- Remove the pan from the oven and set it on a wire cooling rack for 5 to 8 minutes. Letting it rest allows the melted cheese to set slightly, making inversion easier.
- Reheat the remaining garlic butter glaze if needed.
- Place a large serving platter upside down over the top of the Bundt pan. Invert the pan and platter together, gently tapping the bottom of the pan until the Cheesy Ham Biscuit Ring releases onto the platter.
- Brush the top of the warm ring generously with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve warm as a pull-apart dish or slice into wedges.
