Instructions
- Place the bread slices on a clean cutting board. Use a chef’s knife to carefully trim off all four crusts from each slice. Using a rolling pin, press down firmly on each slice of bread and roll it completely flat until it resembles a thin, flexible tortilla.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously until completely smooth. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of the mixture evenly across one side of each flattened bread slice, leaving a small 1/4-inch border at the top edge.
- Starting from the bottom edge closest to you, roll each bread slice up tightly into a log. Press gently on the seam at the end to seal it.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Melt the unsalted butter in a separate dish. Lightly brush each roll-up on all sides with melted butter, then immediately roll it in the cinnamon sugar mixture until thoroughly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 2 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray or line with perforated parchment paper. Place the roll-ups seam-side down in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch so hot air can circulate freely. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6 to 8 minutes , gently flipping them with tongs at the halfway mark (4 minutes), until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the roll-ups from the air fryer and let them rest for 1–2 minutes. Whisk together the glaze ingredients (powdered sugar, milk, vanilla) in a small bowl until smooth, then drizzle generously over the warm roll-ups. Serve immediately while hot!
