Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper, lightly greasing it with olive oil or cooking spray if desired.
  2. Place the grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl and add garlic powder, dried herbs, black pepper, paprika, and any other preferred seasonings.
  3. Mix everything gently until the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the cheese.
  4. Take small portions of the cheese mixture (about 2 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking tray, leaving enough space between each portion.
  5. Flatten each pile gently with the back of a spoon to create an even layer; keep circles thin for chips or slightly thicker for bites.
  6. Bake for about 5 to 8 minutes, watching carefully until the edges become golden brown and the surface looks melted and slightly bubbly.
  7. Remove the tray from the oven and allow the Parmesan pieces to cool completely on the tray for several minutes until firm and crunchy.
  8. Gently lift the crisps from the parchment paper once completely cool.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best texture. Do not overcrowd the tray. Let the crisps cool completely before moving them to prevent breaking. Store in an airtight container at room temperature; if they lose crispness, reheat in a warm oven for a few minutes.
