Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon

  1. Start by cleaning and drying the salmon fillet using paper towels. Removing excess moisture helps the coating stick better and creates a crispier texture.
  2. Cut the salmon into small bite-sized cubes, approximately 1 to 1½ inches each. Try to keep the pieces similar in size so they cook evenly.
  3. Place the salmon cubes in a bowl and add olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, smoked paprika, oregano, parsley, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes. Gently mix everything together until each piece of salmon is well coated.
  4. Allow the salmon to marinate for 15–20 minutes. This step helps the fish absorb the flavors and makes every bite more delicious.

Step 2: Prepare the Crispy Coating

  1. In a separate bowl, combine flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create an evenly seasoned coating.
  2. Take each marinated salmon piece and lightly coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently so the coating sticks properly. Repeat until all salmon pieces are covered.
  3. For an extra crispy finish, you can dip the salmon pieces into beaten egg before coating them with breadcrumbs.

Step 3: Cook the Salmon Bites

  1. You can cook crispy salmon bites using an air fryer, oven, or frying pan.

Air Fryer Method:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Place the salmon bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding because proper air circulation helps create a crispy coating.
  3. Cook for 8–12 minutes , turning halfway through cooking. The salmon should become golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Oven Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) .
  2. Place coated salmon bites on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray with oil.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crispy and cooked through.

Pan-Frying Method:

  1. Heat a small amount of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  2. Cook the salmon bites for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Avoid cooking at very high heat because salmon can become dry.
