Prep time10 minutes
Total time30 minutes
Servings4 oz (120 ml) batch — approximately 40–50 applications

Equipment

  • Double boiler (or a heat-safe glass bowl over a small saucepan)
  • Handheld electric mixer or small wire whisk
  • Measuring spoons and digital kitchen scale
  • Silicone spatula
  • Sterilized 4 oz amber glass jar or dark cosmetic tub
  • Isopropyl alcohol (for sterilizing tools)

Ingredients

The Nourishing Lipid Base (Nourishment & Barrier Support)

  • 2 tbsp (approx. 1 oz / 28g) unrefined organic shea butter (rich in cinnamic acid and vitamins A & E)
  • 1 tbsp (approx. 0.5 oz / 14g) organic yellow beeswax pellets (provides barrier protection and locks in moisture)
  • 1 tbsp (approx. 0.5 fl oz / 15ml) unrefined jojoba oil (mimics human sebum for deep skin absorption)

The Active Collagen Boosters & Botanical Oils

  • 1 tbsp (approx. 0.5 fl oz / 15ml) cold-pressed rosehip seed oil (packed with trans-retinoic acid to encourage cellular turnover)
  • 1 tsp (approx. 0.16 fl oz / 5ml) sea buckthorn oil (loaded with omega-7 fatty acids for elasticity)
  • ½ tsp (approx. 2.5ml) pure Vitamin E oil (d-alpha-tocopherol) (potent antioxidant that prevents oil oxidation)

Therapeutic Essential Oils (Skin Regeneration)

  • 6 drops Frankincense essential oil (promotes cellular health and smooths skin texture)
  • 4 drops Lavender essential oil (calms inflammation and soothes stressed skin)
  • 2 drops Geranium essential oil (helps balance natural sebum production)

Instructions

  1. Before starting, wipe down your glass jar, measuring utensils, whisk, and glass bowl with 70% isopropyl alcohol and let them air dry completely.
  2. Working with clean, dry tools prevents moisture or bacteria from contaminating your oil-based cream.
  3. Fill a small saucepan with 1 inch of water and place it over low heat. Set a heat-safe glass bowl on top (ensuring the bottom does not touch the water).
  4. Add the beeswax pellets, unrefined shea butter, and jojoba oil into the bowl. Stir gently with a silicone spatula until completely melted into a liquid golden oil.
  5. Remove the glass bowl from heat immediately once melted. Allow the oil mixture to cool down for 8–10 minutes until warm to the touch (under 100°F / 38°C).
  6. Pour in the rosehip seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, Vitamin E oil, and essential oils (Frankincense, Lavender, Geranium). Stirring delicate botanical oils in after heating preserves their active nutrients and prevents thermal degradation.
  7. Place the bowl into the refrigerator for 10 to 12 minutes. Check periodically: you want the oils to solidify partially around the edges while remaining soft and pliable in the center (it should look opaque and custard-like).
  8. Do not let it freeze completely hard.
  9. Remove the bowl from the fridge. Using a handheld electric mixer with a whisk attachment on medium-high speed, beat the mixture vigorously for 3 to 5 minutes.
  10. Watch the heavy oil transform into a fluffy, pale-yellow whipped cream. Scoop into your sterilized dark amber glass jar and seal tightly.
