Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Pat the salmon fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure the glaze adheres properly and the edges crisp up instead of steaming.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, olive oil, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until uniform.
- Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray or line with air fryer parchment paper. Season the salmon fillets lightly with salt and pepper. Brush half of the glaze generously over all sides of the fillets.
- Place the salmon fillets in the basket skin-side down, leaving space between each fillet for proper hot air circulation. Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 6 minutes.
- Open the basket, brush the remaining glaze over the tops, and cook for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until the surface is bubbly, caramelized, and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the fillets carefully using a wide spatula. Let rest for 2 minutes to lock in juice. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds, chopped spring onions, and a fresh squeeze of lemon juice.

Notes
Dry the Fish: Excess surface moisture prevents the glaze from sticking and impedes caramelization. Don’t Overcrowd: Leave at least half an inch of clearance around each fillet so the air circulates freely, preventing soft or unevenly cooked edges. Monitor Doneness: Salmon cooks rapidly in an air fryer. Thinner tail pieces may finish in 7–8 minutes, while thick center-cut fillets may require 10 minutes. Storage: Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheating: Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and heat the fillets for 3 to 4 minutes until warmed through without drying out the center.
