Crispy Air Fryer Cauliflower is a quick and flavorful vegetable side dish made with fresh cauliflower, olive oil, turmeric, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. The air fryer creates beautifully golden florets with crisp edges and tender centers using only a small amount of oil.

Ingredients

  • 1 small cauliflower head, cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash the cauliflower thoroughly and pat it completely dry.
  2. Remove the leaves and core, then cut the cauliflower into evenly sized florets.
  3. Place the florets in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the cauliflower.
  5. Sprinkle in the turmeric, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Toss until every floret is evenly coated.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  8. Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
  9. Cook for approximately 15 minutes, shaking or flipping the florets every 3 minutes for even browning.
  10. Once the cauliflower is golden brown with crisp edges and tender centers, remove it from the basket.
  11. Serve immediately while warm or allow it to cool before serving.

Notes

Check the cauliflower every 3 minutes, as cooking times may vary depending on the air fryer model and floret size. Do not overcrowd the basket to allow proper air circulation. Garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, coriander, curry powder, or chili powder may be added for additional flavor. Avocado oil or corn oil can be used instead of olive oil. Frozen cauliflower may be used only after it has been completely thawed and thoroughly dried to prevent excess moisture.
