A quick and healthy homemade snack made with thinly sliced potatoes, lightly coated in oil, and air fried to crispy perfection. These chips are flavorful, crunchy, and customizable with your favorite seasonings.

Ingredients

  • Medium-sized potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold) – 2 to 3, thinly sliced
  • Oil (olive oil or vegetable oil) – 1 to 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – according to taste
  • Optional spices: black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, dried herbs

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and peel if desired. Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds, about 1–2 mm thick.
  2. Place the slices in a bowl of cold water and soak for 15–20 minutes. Drain and pat the slices completely dry using a towel or paper towels.
  3. Transfer to a bowl, drizzle with oil, and toss to coat evenly. Add salt and any optional seasonings, mixing gently.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for 3–5 minutes. Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping or shaking halfway through. Remove once golden and crispy, then let cool for a few minutes before serving.
