Ingredients

For the Bread Batter:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

For the Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 200g cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a loaf pan. Cheese

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3: Cream Butter & Sugar

  1. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.

Step 4: Combine

  1. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk into the butter mixture. Mix until smooth.

Step 5: Prepare Cream Cheese Filling

  1. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy.

Step 6: Assemble

  1. Pour half the batter into the pan
  2. Spread cream cheese mixture
  3. Add remaining batter
  4. Swirl gently with a knife
  5. Fold blueberries lightly into the top layer

Step 7: Bake

  1. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Bread

Step 8: Cool

  1. Let cool before slicing for best texture.
