Servings2 servings (approx. 8 oz / 240 ml per serving)

Ingredients

Primary Base

  • 2 cups (16 fl oz / 475 ml) filtered water (or unsweetened almond/oat milk for a richer latte style)
  • 1 inch (2.5 cm) fresh ginger root, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1 inch (2.5 cm) fresh turmeric root, thinly sliced (or 1 tsp organic ground turmeric)
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick (Ceylon cinnamon preferred)

Active Functional Boosters

  • 1 tsp (5 ml) cold-pressed, organic black seed oil ( Nigella sativa )
  • ½ tsp virgin coconut oil or grass-fed ghee
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper (essential for turmeric activation)
  • 1 pinch fine Himalayan pink salt or sea salt

Natural Sweetener & Brightener

  • 1 to 2 tbsp raw unfiltered honey or pure maple syrup (added off heat to preserve beneficial enzymes)
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a small stainless steel saucepan, combine the filtered water , sliced ginger , sliced turmeric , cinnamon stick , and freshly cracked black pepper . Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and let it simmer softly for 8 to 10 minutes to extract the active botanical essential oils.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat source. Place a fine-mesh strainer over a Pyrex measuring cup or heat-safe pitcher and pour the infused liquid through, discarding the solid roots and cinnamon stick. Allow the elixir base to sit for 1–2 minutes to cool slightly (temperature should drop below 110°F / 43°C before adding raw honey).
  3. Whisk in the cold-pressed black seed oil , virgin coconut oil (or ghee), and a pinch of salt . For an ultra-smooth emulsion, use a handheld battery-operated milk frother for 15 to 20 seconds until a light, velvety foam forms on top.
  4. Stir in the raw honey and fresh lemon juice until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. Pour into heat-proof mugs and serve immediately while warm.
