Ingredients

  • 3 lb (1.4 kg) Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1½ cups heavy cream

Optional (recommended)

  • 1½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Generously grease a Bundt pan or ring mold.
  3. Peel the potatoes and slice them very thin (about 1/8 inch) using a mandoline.
  4. Mix the melted butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Toss the potato slices until evenly coated.
  6. Arrange the potatoes in overlapping layers inside the Bundt pan, pressing down every few layers.
  7. Cover tightly with foil.
  8. Bake for 75 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake another 20–30 minutes until deep golden and crispy.
  10. Let rest 10–15 minutes.
  11. Carefully invert onto a serving plate and slice like a cake.
