Instructions
Step 1: Boil the Water
- Pour 2 cups of water into a saucepan or kettle and bring it to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Add the Rosemary
- Place the rosemary leaves or fresh sprigs into a teapot or heatproof mug.
Step 3: Steep
- Pour the hot water over the rosemary.
- Cover and allow the tea to steep for 8–10 minutes .
- For a milder flavor, steep for 5–6 minutes.
- For a stronger herbal taste, steep for up to 12 minutes.
Step 4: Strain
- Remove the rosemary using a tea strainer.
Step 5: Sweeten (Optional)
- Add honey if desired and stir until dissolved.
- Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for brightness.
Step 6: Serve
- Enjoy immediately while hot, or allow the tea to cool and pour over ice for a refreshing iced herbal tea.
