Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 ml) water
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary leaves or 2–3 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

  • Fresh ginger slices
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Orange peel

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the Water

  1. Pour 2 cups of water into a saucepan or kettle and bring it to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

Step 2: Add the Rosemary

  1. Place the rosemary leaves or fresh sprigs into a teapot or heatproof mug.

Step 3: Steep

  1. Pour the hot water over the rosemary.
  2. Cover and allow the tea to steep for 8–10 minutes .
  3. For a milder flavor, steep for 5–6 minutes.
  4. For a stronger herbal taste, steep for up to 12 minutes.

Step 4: Strain

  1. Remove the rosemary using a tea strainer.

Step 5: Sweeten (Optional)

  1. Add honey if desired and stir until dissolved.
  2. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for brightness.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Enjoy immediately while hot, or allow the tea to cool and pour over ice for a refreshing iced herbal tea.
