Instructions

  1. 1.Prep and Fork-Split the English Muffins: Time: 2 minutes.
  2. Use a fork to split the English muffins in half along their natural center line rather than cutting them with a sharp knife. The rough texture created by fork-splitting produces signature nooks and crannies that get extra crisp when exposed to heat.
  3. 2.Pre-Toast the Buns (Crucial Crispiness Step): Intensity: 375°F (190°C) | Time: 2–3 minutes.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Brush the open side of each English muffin half lightly with olive oil or garlic butter if desired. Place the halves cut-side up in the basket in a single layer. Air fry at 375°F for 2 to 3 minutes until pale golden and dry to the touch.
  5. 3.Layer Sauce and Cheese: Time: 2 minutes.
  6. Remove the basket carefully. Spread 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly over each toasted half, leaving a small 1/4-inch border around the edges for a crisp crust. Top generously with shredded mozzarella, pressing down slightly so the cheese adheres to the sauce.
  7. 4.Add Toppings and Anchor: Time: 1 minute.
  8. Arrange mini pepperoni slices over the cheese. Gently press the toppings down into the cheese layer with the back of a spoon.
  9. Note: High air-circulation fryers can blow light toppings like pepperoni around the basket. Pressing them slightly into the melted/soft cheese keeps them in place.
  10. 5.Final Melt and Cook: Intensity: 375°F (190°C) | Time: 3–4 minutes.
  11. Slide the basket back into the air fryer. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 3 to 4 minutes , or until the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and lightly golden brown along the edges.
  12. 6.Garnish and Rest: Time: 1–2 minutes.
  13. Carefully remove the pizzas using non-scratch tongs or a narrow spatula. Sprinkle with dried Italian seasoning, fresh basil, and grated Parmesan. Allow to rest for 1 to 2 minutes so the cheese sets slightly before serving.
