Instructions

Step 1: Brew and Cool the Tea Base

  1. Bring 2.5 cups of filtered water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add 4 hibiscus tea bags (or 2 tablespoons of dried hibiscus flowers) along with the thinly sliced fresh ginger and cinnamon stick .
  3. Steep for 10–12 minutes to extract the full botanical potency.
  4. Strain the tea into a glass pitcher and stir in the raw honey or maple syrup while warm until fully dissolved. Allow to cool completely at room temperature.

Step 2: Infuse the Mint Flavor

  1. Place the fresh peppermint leaves in the bottom of a large punch bowl or pitcher.
  2. Using a wooden spoon or cocktail muddler, gently press the mint leaves 4–5 times to release their essential oils. Avoid over-muddling or shredding the leaves to prevent bitterness.
  3. Pour the cooled hibiscus-ginger tea base directly over the muddled mint leaves.

Step 3: Combine Liquids & Chill

  1. Add the tart cherry juice , fresh lime juice , and coconut water into the pitcher.
  2. Stir well using a long spoon to thoroughly unify the flavors.
  3. Cover and place in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 to 2 hours before serving. This allows the fresh mint and ginger to fully infuse into the juice mixture.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  1. Just before serving, strain out the muddled mint leaves if a crystal-clear beverage is desired (or leave them for a rustic look).
  2. Add plenty of ice to individual glass cups or the main punch bowl.
  3. Top off with fresh cranberries, pomegranate arils, and a fresh sprig of peppermint in each glass to mimic the classic red-and-white festive look.
  4. Pour, sip, and enjoy!
