Ingredients

  • 12 hard-cooked eggs, peeled
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 6 slices white bread, lightly toasted
  • Salt and white pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. Place the yolks in a bowl and mash them with a fork. Chop the egg whites into small pieces and set them aside.
  2. Place a saucepan over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the all-purpose flour and stir until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring continuously. Add the chicken bouillon granules and continue stirring to keep the sauce smooth and free from lumps.
  4. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture comes to a boil and develops a creamy, thick consistency.
  5. Stir the mashed egg yolks into the hot sauce until they are well blended.
  6. Add the chopped egg whites and stir gently until they are evenly distributed throughout the creamy mixture.
  7. Lightly toast the six slices of white bread.
  8. Spoon the warm creamed egg mixture over the toasted bread. Season with salt and white pepper according to taste, then serve immediately.
