Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional)
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and optional sugar in a bowl. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated and have a damp sand-like texture.
  2. Divide the crumb mixture between 4 to 6 dessert containers. Press gently into an even layer and reserve a small amount of crumbs for topping.
  3. Whip the cold heavy cream in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form. Skip this step if using prepared whipped topping.
  4. Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gradually until the filling becomes light and fully combined.
  6. Spoon or pipe the cheesecake filling over the prepared crumb layers.
  7. Add small spoonfuls of strawberry jam or strawberry filling on top.
  8. Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl the strawberry into the cheesecake layer.
  9. Add diced fresh strawberries evenly over each dessert portion.
  10. Sprinkle the reserved crumbs on top for decoration.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. For the best results, chill for 4 to 6 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

Room-temperature cream cheese creates the smoothest filling. Chilling the mixing bowl and beaters before whipping cream improves volume. Frozen strawberries can be used if fresh ones are unavailable, but they should be thawed and drained well. Other fruit flavors such as raspberry, blueberry, cherry, or peach can replace strawberries. For a less sweet dessert, reduce powdered sugar slightly or use a lower-sugar fruit filling. The recipe can also be prepared in a single serving dish instead of individual containers.
